What you can expect in a day in the role
As a Greenkeeper or Greenkeeper Apprentice, you will bring a passion for grounds keeping and maintaining a high standard for golf course upkeep. With a love for golf, the outdoors and a strong understanding of tasks, equipment, and turf care, every day will bring something new.
Daily duties include:
- Bunker maintenance
- Repairs and minor renovations
- Mowing and trimming
- Course setup
- Weather monitoring
- Equipment maintenance
- Tree and shrub care
- Irrigation management
What you’ll bring to the role
Along with a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a team-oriented mindset, you will bring the following skills, experience and qualifications to the role:
- Certificate in Sports Turf Management (An Apprenticeship is available if you do not currently have this qualification)
- Excellent availability across a 7-day rotating roster
- Passion for the outdoors and golf course design
- Landscaping experience
- A forklift license and chemical handling certificate would be advantageous.
An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
